The Beaufort Water Festival has been the Lowcountry's premier summer event since 1956, drawing families from across the Southeast to Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park along the scenic Beaufort River. While the festival doesn't focus exclusively on seafood, you'll find plenty of coastal cuisine from local vendors alongside an incredible lineup of live music, water sports, and community spirit. From the opening ceremony with Marine Corps fireworks to the blessing of the fleet finale, every day brings something special — concerts featuring national acts, fishing tournaments, air shows with stunt planes, and that famous Southern hospitality. The festival perfectly captures the essence of Lowcountry living, where the shrimp boats share the harbor with sailboats and every sunset feels like a celebration.
